The only thing that I would change on the next pair I knit (yes, the next pair. This will probably be my go to pattern for basic ankle socks) would be to go down a needle size. They fit good but I really like my socks a bit tighter.
I also think this is a great pattern for beginner sock knitters. It's short, easy, and lends itself to your own creativity.
