Adorable Christmas Ornaments Day Two

Here's the next adorable sheep variation!  I forgot to mention that there will be a string to hang each one on the tree but they do stand alone too!  Look at that tiny bell-cute right?

On another note, I finished my dog sweater the other day and I just have to take some pictures of Geddy Lee in it.  I am hoping he will co-operate with my photo shoot!  Overall I like the pattern but I would make a few changes for sizing.  Since the pattern owner had a 4 lb. chi and I had a 6 lb., I decided to make the small medium but I was wrong.  I should have made the small.
I'll go into more detail once I take some pictures.

Usually, I like to have only one project going at once but lately I've got at least 3.  Lol.  Last night I worked on my second sock.  I am sure that I will finish it tonight as I  only have 1.5" in length to knit before I start the toe.

This afternoon I will be working on a new Christmas Stocking pattern.  It's adorable and classic.  I did have them last year but I really need to formally take pictures.  So, that's what's on my knitting agenda for today.

What's been on your needles lately?

The PERFECT Christmas Gift for Knitters

Have you ever searched for the perfect gift for knitters?  Lost because you are not a knitter but a close friend or family member is & you're not sure what to buy?  Well today is your lucky day (thanks to my very talented and crafty mom!)

Today is the 22nd of August and 22 is my mom's lucky number.  So, naturally, it's the perfect day to  introduce my NEW Christmas Ornaments for 2013.  I know, I know they are too cute for words!
I will be releasing a different version everyday until you've seen them all.

Each ornament is completely handmade one at a time and no two are exactly the same.  Each sheep is  unique and you just can't have one.  You have to get them for all your knitterly friends too!

Fair Isle Ornament

This is my next fair isle project - small but I love it.   It's still slow going as I have yet to master holding 2 yarns at the same time while knitting.  This pattern from Lion Brand is free - click here for pattern.

This beautiful pattern is not worked in the round and from all that I have recently read about Fair Isle knitting Fair Isle was meant to be worked in the round.  I will be making more of these so I will have to re-write the pattern for working in the round.    This back and forth business is for the birds.  Tweet tweet. (You know how I love to knit in the round.   Less seaming = quick knit)

I think that if I work the first part of the pattern in stockinette sts and join  for working in the round just as the Fair Isle part begins I should have enough room to jam in the foam ball in at the end and sew up the short seam.  But I'm not there yet.  I'll let you know.

This is also a great way to use up small amounts of left over yarn which all knitters have laying around somewhere.   I never knew a knitter who threw away the tiniest bit of yarn that was left over from another knitting project.  I mean it may be useful someday even if it is 20 yrs down the road.
