Classic Red & White Knit Christmas Stocking with Hand Stitched Snowflake.

As I said yesterday, I was knitting a new Christmas Stocking for my Etsy store and here it is.  Whatcha think?   I love the classic design and color, deep red.  It can also be made in the reverse colors as well.  100% wool and lovingly knit!  I have a few more that I have yet to knit and I should be breaking out the needles again this weekend.

I also finished my socks last night!  Yeah!  It took less time then I thought and I was done about 9:30.  I felt lost with idle hands, so I roamed around Ravelry and Google+ for hours.  I stumbled upon Stephen West's blog and read about his summer knitting travels.  His pictures are amazing & it sounded like a blast!  Definitely take the time to read it.  It's worth it.

Here they are in all their glory.

Now, I guess I should finish my other half knitted sock from this project

I am knitting them in pink and white.  I liked the gray more but I didn't happen to have great sock yarn and I really need to start knitting down my stash.  It's out of control.  Really.  OUT OF CON TROL.

Adorable Christmas Ornaments Day Two

Here's the next adorable sheep variation!  I forgot to mention that there will be a string to hang each one on the tree but they do stand alone too!  Look at that tiny bell-cute right?

On another note, I finished my dog sweater the other day and I just have to take some pictures of Geddy Lee in it.  I am hoping he will co-operate with my photo shoot!  Overall I like the pattern but I would make a few changes for sizing.  Since the pattern owner had a 4 lb. chi and I had a 6 lb., I decided to make the small medium but I was wrong.  I should have made the small.
I'll go into more detail once I take some pictures.

Usually, I like to have only one project going at once but lately I've got at least 3.  Lol.  Last night I worked on my second sock.  I am sure that I will finish it tonight as I  only have 1.5" in length to knit before I start the toe.

This afternoon I will be working on a new Christmas Stocking pattern.  It's adorable and classic.  I did have them last year but I really need to formally take pictures.  So, that's what's on my knitting agenda for today.

What's been on your needles lately?

The PERFECT Christmas Gift for Knitters

Have you ever searched for the perfect gift for knitters?  Lost because you are not a knitter but a close friend or family member is & you're not sure what to buy?  Well today is your lucky day (thanks to my very talented and crafty mom!)

Today is the 22nd of August and 22 is my mom's lucky number.  So, naturally, it's the perfect day to  introduce my NEW Christmas Ornaments for 2013.  I know, I know they are too cute for words!
I will be releasing a different version everyday until you've seen them all.

Each ornament is completely handmade one at a time and no two are exactly the same.  Each sheep is  unique and you just can't have one.  You have to get them for all your knitterly friends too!

New Cable Design for 2012

New Design for 2012

I've been working hard on designing a few new pillow shams for 2012.   Today I am releasing my Cascade Cabled Pillow Sham.  This design reminds me of troubled waters turning and turning just like the roaring rapids.

I love the simple but yet complicated look of this sham.  Of course, it comes in a wide range of colors.  This one is also superwash wool which can be laundered at home in your washing machine.  :)  I know you love that!

More to come...

I Couldn't Resist.....

Yes, yes, I know that it's still August but I just couldn't resist posting my new Christmas Stockings.  There are still more designs to come so this is just a little preview until then.

Most of my stockings are knit with recycled yarn.  Brushed off an discarded sweaters now have a new purpose.  All of the yarn has been washed dried and re-knit into anything I can think of.   So, please know, that the supplies are limited as I rarely find the same sweater twice.  Once they are gone that's it.  Get 'em now there is no time to wait and think.

Each stocking is large in size because I love large stockings.  The blue stocking is knit with Merino/Cotton blend.  The striped is all cotton, the white is Merino/Alpaca, and the solid red is alpaca as well.  So gorgeous and ready to go.
