I Couldn't Resist.....

Yes, yes, I know that it's still August but I just couldn't resist posting my new Christmas Stockings.  There are still more designs to come so this is just a little preview until then.

Most of my stockings are knit with recycled yarn.  Brushed off an discarded sweaters now have a new purpose.  All of the yarn has been washed dried and re-knit into anything I can think of.   So, please know, that the supplies are limited as I rarely find the same sweater twice.  Once they are gone that's it.  Get 'em now there is no time to wait and think.

Each stocking is large in size because I love large stockings.  The blue stocking is knit with Merino/Cotton blend.  The striped is all cotton, the white is Merino/Alpaca, and the solid red is alpaca as well.  So gorgeous and ready to go.

Announcing 3 New Toys!

Gosh I have been so busy lately which is a good thing I guess!   Announcing my new Knit Elephant design today!  I have to say that it took me longer than I thought to make this pattern.  There is so much trial and error with designing but I do love every step and every frog!  Aren't they adorable!

Puppy toy!   This puppy actually started out as a request from a WONDERFUL customer.  This was my  introduction to the world of Waldorf toys.   Waldorf toys are simple and void of all facial expressions (yes, I left the face off on purpose) because they want the children to use their imagination when making up their stories.    More on this topic later.

I can always add a face if you prefer.  I knit these with recycled yarn.  This one was knit with so soft merino wool!!  Lightly stuffed for that squishy cuddly feel.  Many colors available.

It’s Been Awhile

Since my last post.  Wow so much has gone on.  I started to knitting my fingerless gloves for this coming season.  I just love them!  I love the colors and I love the yarn. Soft, beautiful colors, and just the right length.  I hope that my customers like them as much as I enjoyed knitting them up!

I have been crafting all day.  Actually, I was up at 6:30 am with ornament thoughts running through my head.  So, at 7am I got out of bed, which for those of you who know me NEVER happens.  After my morning cup o tea I visited a few of my favorite thrift stores on the look out for some supplies.  Picked up some great fabric & of course, a few sweaters.  Home I went and I did not stop until now.  Actually my house looks like a craft tornado has gone through it.  Yarn, thread, & fabric all over my floors.  LOVE these days when I am full of inspiration and activity.  I will be posting my new ornaments soon on myetsy site.  So check there soon.  They are adorable!
